Another lovely spring wedding held at St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Stone Mountain. It’s a very unique mid-century modern church with unbelievably beautiful stained glass windows. The reception was held at the Avondale Community Center overlooking the lake. Drew Ann and Lee are two recently graduated teachers who met in college. I suspect they will do very well together as they have a really nice spark between them. We had a great time with their engagement shoot roaming around downtown Atlanta! You should recognize them from my engagement gallery on my website.

Another May wedding that I never got around to blogging… and another couple I really enjoyed working with. In fact, I’ve been pretty lucky. I can’t believe how often I truly like the people whose weddings I photograph.
This was a crazy day, though. The wedding was at a very cool venue in Douglasville called Le Jardin Blanc. Both the wedding and the reception were going to be outdoors. When we left Atlanta, it was pouring down rain. I was pretty disappointed, as I really liked the venue and wanted to shoot the wedding as planned and I knew Doug and Courtney felt the same way. They have a tent there for rainy days and it’s actually quite nice, but the outside reception venue is so interesting, it would have been a shame if it got rained out. But, someone was smiling on these two because it was like a little circle was drawn around the venue and it was dry on the inside. It started raining at 10:30 pm, just as we were putting our gear in the car and Doug and Courtney were pulling out of the parking lot!

I’m really going to attempt to turn over a new blogging leaf… no really, I am. As a result, I’m going to write less so I can get more photos from events posted. I’ve been shooting like crazy this year, with only a couple of weekends off since April. So it would seem my current projects page is not so very current.

Here goes. Cat & Brian are a lovely couple from Scotland who live part time in Atlanta and part time teaching boy scouts sailing in the Bahamas. How’s that for a life? In addition, they’re truly wonderful people. But given how great the family and friends (almost all of who came from Scotland) were, you understand where they get it. It was a beautiful day in May (see how far behind I am???)
